Liang's Story
Nanjia Village, China
School wasn’t always possible for Liang.
Liang lives in Nanjia Village in a rural part of China. He is 13 years old, but he looks about seven. He is much weaker and shorter than other boys his age. Ever since Liang was born, hunger and disease surrounded him. Due to malnutrition and inability to access proper health care, he had to struggle for his life.
One day, young people came together and started to help. They worked together with Liang’s community to provide alternative sources of income and quality schools. Liang’s life was changed. He is now healthy and excited to be in first grade. His parents make money from an alternative income project to buy medicine for Liang and nutritious food like vegetables and meat. Liang and his community are all so grateful for the work young people like you are doing to make a difference in China and in the world.
