Anka and Naira
Hola! My name is Anka and this is my friend Naira. Welcome to our home, Latin America.
We are so excited to show you around our region. Together we’ll visit the steamy Amazon Rainforest, devour delicious tortillas and climb high up through the Andes mountain range.
On our adventure, we’ll meet all kinds of different people. That’s because Latin Americans come from three very different places: Africa, Europe and Latin America itself.
These people will amaze you, because they keep smiling even though they face many challenges, from unstable governments to widespread poverty. Though skyscrapers and billboards tower over bustling city streets, rural people often lack access to schools, health care and enough food to eat.
Will you help my Latin American friends break out of poverty? Naira and I hope you will. Let’s start exploring the region to find out how and what we can all do to help.
