Jambo! I’m Amina and this is my friend Kima. We’ll be your guides to East Africa, our home.
Jambo! I’m Amina, this is my friend Kima, and we’re from Kenya in East Africa. We’re so excited to show you around our beautiful home. East Africa welcomes you!
In East Africa, you can go on safari and see elephants or giraffes, learn to speak Swahili, or relax on the beaches along the coast.
On our journey together, Kima and I will introduce you to Maasai (pronounced mah-sahy) warriors, show you how to cook traditional food and teach you new ways to dance, East-African style.
Best of all, you’ll get the chance to meet some of my East African friends. These kids have had tough lives because East Africa has faced many challenges. There have been long wars and dangerous droughts, which have made it difficult for people to grow food to eat. My friends are often hungry, but they are hopeful that the future will not be so hard.
